Advising a franchisee client about remedies and potential consequences of exiting a franchise system involves a host of issues and considerations:

Assessing potential legal remedies for rescission, misrepresentation or termination.
Assessing the enforceability of restrictive covenants and other post-termination covenants.

Dealing with multiple clients, joint retainers (franchisee clients often include family members as franchise or lease guarantors), and potential cultural and language barriers when advising clients about legally complex area of franchise rights and obligations
