Law Works is a respected small boutique law firm specializing in franchise law, franchise disputes, and commercial disputes.
The law firm was founded by our firm’s principal, Ben Hanuka, and has operated in downtown Toronto since, 2012 before expanding to a multi-province practice with satellite offices in Calgary and Vancouver.
We also operated Law Works Professional Development to provide lawyers in Ontario and across Canada with accredited short and intensive training courses.
Our Foundation in Toronto
The principal of Law Works, Ben Hanuka has a professional career with a foundation in Toronto. He attained both his JD and LLM (1996 and 2015) degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1998.
Before founding Law Works, Ben led practices in franchise law in both a mid-size and a boutique commercial litigation law firm prior to founding Law Works and most of his court appearances have been in the Greater Toronto Area over the past twenty-five years. These include many leading franchise court decisions.
Ben is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Ontario Bar Association. Ben has been an active volunteer with the Ontario Bar Association where he has led several committees, presented at member events and led continuing education programs for Toronto lawyers. He has also been a member of the Cambridge Club.
